Saturday, September 26
Flight AF 353 G leaves at 4:40 p.m.
Sunday, September 27
6:05 a.m. Estimated arrival time at Charles De Gaulle airport, terminal 2F.
9:30 a.m. Meet to go to the train.
10:10 a.m. Thalys train departs for Brussels
11:50 a.m. Arrival at Midi (Zuid) Station, Brussels. Go to taxi rank as a group and takes taxis to hotel, Novotel Brussels, Centre Tour Noire, rue de la Vierge Noire 32, 1000 Brussels.
7:00 p.m. Optional meeting for dinner
Monday, September 28
8:30 a.m. Bus leaves from the hotel to NATO Headquarters. Don’t forget to bring your passport, but leave your camera and camera phone behind.
Full day of Briefings
5:00 p.m. Bus departs from NATO Headquarters back to hotel.
7:00 p.m. Optional meeting for dinner
Tuesday, September 29
8:15 a.m. Bus departs for NATO Airborne Early Warning Force, Geilenkirchen, Germany.
Lunch provided at the Base.
2:15 p.m. Bus departs for hotel
3:45 p.m. Approximate time of arrival at hotel.
Rest of the day free
7:00 p.m. Optional meeting for dinner
Wednesday, September 30
8:00 a.m. Bus leaves for Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), Mons
Lunch at SHAPE
2:15 p.m. Bus departs for hotel. Depending on time, we may ask the bus to take us directly to our next meeting
4:00 p.m. Meeting at Canadian Mission to EU, Avenue de Tervuren 2, B-1040 Brussels, for briefing by Deputy Ambassador Jean Saint-Jacques
7:00 p.m. Optional Meeting for Dinner
Thursday, October 1
Check out of hotel before 9:15
9:15 a.m. Meet in lobby to take taxis to Midi Station and meet in Thalys Lounge.
10:13 a.m. Thalys Train 9418 departs for Paris. We are all in First class coach 22, with assigned seats.
11:35 a.m. Train arrives at Gare du Nord, Paris.
We will take taxis to Hotel Mercure, Paris Suffren Tour Eiffel, 23 rue Jean Rey, 75015 Paris, and check in our luggage.
Have lunch on your own in hotel or area.
4:00 p.m. Meeting with Canadian Ambassador to France, His Excellency, Mr. Marc Lortie at the Embassy, 35 avenue Montaigne, 75008 Paris. You can travel there on your own or meet us in the Lobby at 3:30 to take taxis to the Embassy.
7:00 p.m. Optional Meeting for Dinner
Friday, October 2
8:30 a.m. Meet in Hotel Lobby to take taxis to Canadian Delegation to the OECD, 15bis rue de Franqueville – Paris 75116, to meet His Excellency, Ambassador Paul-Henri Lapointe. The Canadian Delegation is only a few steps from the OECD Headquarters, and the Delegation Staff is arranging a visit to OECD for us. They will give further details when we arrive.
Meetings should be finished by lunch time and the rest of the day is free.
7:00 p.m. Optional Meeting for Dinner
Saturday, October 3
7:30 a.m. Meet in hotel lobby to take taxis to Gare du Nord and train to CDG Airport. Please check out of hotel before 7:30. Check in at Terminal 2F for Air France flight 358 G, departing 10:50 a.m., and arriving in Toronto at 1:15 p.m.
